We go the extra mile when it comes to waste management, that's why we brand our bins with your company logo. We also clean your bins once a month at no extra cost.
Part 1 of our overhaul in preparation for the start of the Autumn term was to change the signage and apertures on this underused and grotty looking Nexus 360 bin.
All ready and waiting to be delivered to three of our customers. All our stand alone 240L bins have bespoke signage relative to that particular customer. Clear and easy to understand signs are hugely important for all types of recycling, not just composting. This is just one way we go above and beyond our competitors to close the loop.
You see a bin on the side of the road - I see 38 bags of waste that would have gone to landfill but will now be recycled into compost.
Did you know we also collect and recycle food caddies? A lot of the colleges and universities we service use us to compost the students food waste.
Hats off to Vegware for their extensive range of compostable foodservice packaging. Not only do our customers like it they also choose us to recycle all this waste into compost. If you use compostable packaging and are based in Cambridgeshire we are on-hand to help you go green.

FAQ's

Why use Saffron Recycling?

We are one of the leading waste management companies in Essex and Cambridgeshire, we have helped all types of businesses to reduce their carbon footprint with our range of recycling services.

My current waste management provider says our waste isn't sent to landfill, so why should I switch?

If you are truly serious about reducing your carbon footprint and becoming carbon neutral or even net zero you have to take responsibility for your waste. We provide you with a digital waste transfer note every month to show you exactly where your waste has been sent. We are committed to a circular closed-loop economy so over 80% of the waste we collect is sent directly to a recycling facility that up-cycles or breaks that waste down into new products. The remaining 20% is incinerated to create energy from waste.

Why should I segregate my waste?

I bet you probably have two, maybe three waste streams in your business at present? One for general waste, another for mixed recycling and one for food waste? By segregating your waste at source you are not only showing your customers, pupils and staff how to recycle but you are taking the first step to becoming carbon neutral.

What is the best way to segregate my waste?

The critical component to successful recycling is clear and easy to read signage. A bin after all is just a means of disposing of your waste but if the signage is misleading, difficult to understand or missing then it is inevitable that there will be contamination. We provide bespoke signs for all our customers, tailor-made with the exact items of packaging so it is extremely simple for anyone to dispose of their waste in the correct wastes stream.

Do I have to enter into a contract?

No - we want you to be happy with our service at all times and we feel a contract restricts our customers to explore their options at all times. We only ask that you adhere to a code of practice that sets out from the beginning how we operate.

How does our pricing work?

Very simple, we only charge you for the collection of each bin. So long as the bin lid closes shut we deem that as one bin. If for whatever reason you have many more bags of waste to collect then this would be charged as an additional collection. There are no contamination fees or weight charges or administration fees. Furthermore we don't charge a monthly subscription or contract.
